“Seagulls leave their footprints,

why can’t I?”

What’s Here?

This is a writer’s blog, only you won’t find writing tips here to help you improve your craft or market your e-book. I won’t teach you how to become a better writer, where to find your  inspiration or  help you get more traffic to your site. I’ll never be able to tell you where to look for your next freelance job.

What I hope I can do is earn your respect  as a fellow writer and become a welcomed distraction in your busy day. Let me become your favorite condiment in your daily diet of  salty cravings.

The diary of a sand writer is a blog where you’ll find creative writing, articles on education,  parenting or special children, inspiring stories about woman,  and a journal of  random thoughts that I call the diary. This blog is one source for finding  free entertainment and news.

What’s up with the title?

I grew up on the Cape and spent every day on the shoreline “writing” stories in the sand. Writing is creating, like building a sand castle on the beach. If I can create an article or story that engages you, entertains, or possibly inspires, then that makes me feel the same way I did as a kid, when I finished building kingdoms of castles on a Cape Cod sandbar. It’s a thrill that beats any monetary payment.  It’s what all sand writers dream about and long for.

I hope you like what you find here.

Thanks for visiting!

Love the new look! – Especially the view of the Cape with its beckoning arm.
